All the glazes are mixed in house, some of which are made from natural clay harvested from the property, and ash from the family's wood stove. The pots are then fired in a gas kiln with a reduction atmosphere, Brad uses no instruments just cone packs which melt at accumulating temperatures. The resulting glazes have a depth and sensitivity that many modern electrical fired pieces cannot achieve. All the glazes are mixed in house, some of which are made from natural clay harvested from the property, and ash from the family's wood stove. The pots are then fired in a gas kiln with a reduction atmosphere, Brad uses no instruments just cone packs which melt at accumulating temperatures. The resulting glazes have a depth and sensitivity that many modern electrical fired pieces cannot achieve.
